What non-boutique bridge pup for my PRS baritone?

I scored a deal on a PRS SE baritone finally, after looking for a used brownburst for a couple months. I'm going to be tuned in D/C# standard, playing percussive modern metal, but I want some versatility. I've been using EMGs for the past year and want something less bland, something with more classic thrash crunch, rather than spiky, compressed, and sizzling like many modern pickups. I'm playing an EVH 5150 III with Vintage 30s, so maybe something scooped to balance out the pronounced mids form the amp/cab. I have an extra Air Norton and PAF Pro laying around for the neck, so something that would pair with those... most likely the Air Norton.

I'm looking at DiMarzio/Duncan mostly, no boutique pickups. I don't have the cash to put 300 bucks of pickups into a 500 buck guitar right now. I want BKP Nailbombs ideally, but can't spare the money at the moment, so if there's anything from the Duncan/DiMarzio that has that kind of versatility while staying tight, and metal as hell, then that's what I'm looking for.

Super Distortion? Crunchlab? D-Activator? I'm usually a DiMarzio guy, never ventured much into Duncans...

Also... if you got anything for sale for a good price, shoot me PM or post.

I'm looking at the Suhr Aldrich now... all the clips and reviews sound perfect for me. Anybody selling a bridge or a set?

DiMarzio's Steve's Special pairs well with the Air Norton, and it is scooped in the mids department. Petrucci used that combo for quite a while.

I looked up Rio Grandes and that's way too expensive. The Suhr Aldrich is a tad pricy too, although sounds great. I found a lot of internet talk with the 500t being compared to the Super D, so that might be worth looking more into. I think most I'm leaning towards a Super D though, since I've had that in basswood before and was decent, and easy to find used under 50 bucks.

duncan custom sh-5

simple, super effective...friendly to EVERY amp i've put it through.

FWIW, I put a 500t in my EBMM Axis SS. And then I put another one in my Mushok SE baritone. And I may replace the Tremonti Treble in my Custom 22 with a 500t.....

I play a lot of stupidly-low tunings, and the 500t seems to really shine in that area.

Dimarzio Breed set. I had a Custom 5/'59 in mine, and while the '59 sounded fine in the neck, the Custom 5 was dark muddy shit. The Breeds have a really nice midrange that works well in baritone tunings, IMO.

thanks for all the suggestions. i found a used distortion/59 set in zebra that should look good in the prs. ill try that for a bit and maybe shoot for aldrichs later on or something.

The PRS baritone came in this morning, and I already got it setup in D standard and jammed with a drummer. This thing rocks, and the stock pickups are actually damn good. They're a tad trebly, but not muddy like most Ibanez house pickups. I'm sure the Distortion/'59 combo will be an improvement, but honestly if someone needed a baritone and kept this guitar stock, it could really do the trick. This is the first PRS I've owned, and although it's a low-end SE, I'm impressed.
