I have an 11rack but my ADD keeps me from using it and setting it up right to use with my Diezel Herbet, so i think i want to keep it simple and have never really been a big pedal guy but figured i would give it a go ... so my questions what pedals are you guys using and how do you have them configured? in/out of what loops , what order ? etc.. looking for some ideas to go buy a few pedals ..

thanks ..
dave

Personally I keep things as simple as possible, cable ->Crybaby 535Qv1(the good one)-> Einstein (->serial loop out ->Tc-Gmajor -> serial return) (Parallel -> out ->tuner)

I want to get an od at some point but I'v been stung too many times to buy another blind and sadly I have nowhere particularly close that has anything remotely decent in stock. One of these days I'l have to haul my rig to the closest decent store and lock myself away in a little room and try everything.

why's your tuner running through the parallel and not between guitar and amp's input?

Ah yes, the reason being is I'm using my pod xt live as my tuner and midi controller. I use the parallel feed into the pod, that way its out of the signal chain but I can still use the tuner on it.

On my einstein I use a T-rex MAB or T-rex Alberta for occasional boost on mega mode...T-rex reptile in the parallel loop. On my VH4 the reptile wil be in the insert loop on CH 4. That's it basically..

In front of the amp: BB preamp, Maxon OD9, Phaser (currently vibing with the digitech hyperphase, I saw some vids with Mike Meyers of Shinedown praising it so I thought I would try it. I bought one new for about $30 bucks, very tweakable), SD Shape shifter tremolo for those rare times I may want that sound. Oh yeah, my trusty Boss Tu-2.
In the loop: EVH flanger

ahhh get it... !! ^^

perfect people, just the info i was looking for keep em coming... going to go pick up and try some of this stuff ... seee what works for me and not ..

I forgot to add that I recently put an MXR Custom Comp in front for the clean stuff. Very nice compressor, though I use it sparingly.

recently just a reussenzehn daniel d. booster and a diamond compressor as pedals.
rest as rack in the herbert's loop.

the Timefactor & Carbon Copy go into the Serial Loop. everything else is out front.

Eventide Time in the back, Pitch in the front or serial.

Clyde Deluxe wah, CAL Mk.4:23Pro in front.

If at all.

Usually, it was 100% naked with the TF in the p-loop ever so mildly.

Peace,
V.

I usually just play plugged straight into my VH4 or Schmidt but I do bust out some pedals occasionally, namely a Zvex Fuzz Factory (I also have a Box of Rock but am looking to sell it as I have no need for it) and KH-95 and 535Q v1 wahs. I use a Gmajor2 through my serial loop for my effects though.

I also have an ISP decimator pedal and 80's Boss OD-1 but have never plugged either into my Diezels.
