What string gauge/tuning does Rig-Talk like?

What would you guys recommend for B standard on a 25.5"/floyd guitar?

I'd like something that feels a bit slinky without throwing the intonation out of whack.

Get a 7 string set of 10s and don't use the 10.

That's 13-17-26-36-46.

Though the 3rd may be a bit too tight for your liking. I like a 24 in C standard (EB 12-56).. Hey, you could just use the 10-56 EB set.

For me, Dean Markley Nickel Steel Electric "medium" 11-52, tuned C standard (two whole steps down) on my V, Paul and Jackson (w/Floyd)

What do you guys reckon about using 11-50 with a floyd?

Cause as of the past two months I haven't been able to get my LTD to stay in tune completely, I think having heavy strings might have worn down the knife edges a little faster than it should have, I don't really do crazy whammy tricks, I did divebombs for a while but kinda outgrew it.

And evryone seems to use lighter strings with a floyd.

for the most part i go for similar tension depending on tuning and scale length so...

25.5" scale in E (and drop D) gets 10-46
25.5" scale in Eb (and drop Db) gets 10.5 - 48
25.5" scale in D gets 11 - 52
24.75" scale in E gets 11 - 49

all D'Addario strings.

0.013"-0.058" Ernie Ball strings, 24.5" scale, tuned to Standard E.

Although I am thinking of changing to 0.011"-0.052", just a little thinner.

9-42
standard.
elixirs-and mixed brands, hell ieven bought strings at target. and they are just as good as name brands.

9-46 on my standard-tuned 6 string

10-52 with an added 70 on my 7 string, tuned down a whole-step

All D'Addario

9-42 on all my guitars, for many years, tuned half a step down, never a problem with tuning stability or intonation
