So I have a Brown Eye Amp on order and found out that they are just doing two versions of the amp. Loaded which includes simple clean, loop, fat, sat, and c45. And the other is just brown eye and hairy brown eye. I'm leaning toward the simple version since I am just a plug and play kinda guy. I have no desire for the simple clean or loop. Also I always use humbucker guitars so I don't think I need the fat. And I don't play anything heavier than appetite for destruction levels of gain so I don't think I need the sat. So my question is do you guys think I would be happy just going with the standard version? Don't get me wrong I'm sure the switches and what not are cool but I do usually prefer super simple amps.

That's the way my original Marsha was built and it was great. BE/HBE input straight to the output. I think you answered your own question though. And, Dave will be the first to advocate the the best path to the best tone is the one with least resistance...direct from input to output with a bunch of circuits getting in the way. And, if you change your mind, or your voicing needs change, you can always send it back for the add-on functionality.

Thanks a bunch for the advice yeah I think the bare bones version sounds like the best choice for me. Thanks!

I agree, sounds like you just need the BE/HBE. I live on the BE atm and it is an awesome channel. Dave did tell me that the extra mods do not take anything away from the tone fwiw.

Really worth it. I use everyone of these features on mine. especially the c45, loop, and clean with BE. I have the dual master volumes as well.

I've heard from many that the C45 voicing is where it's at.
