Got some pickguards id like to cut from regular to Floyd rose bridge. I've read to use a utility knife. Will that really work or is there an easier way?

dremel will melt the plastic, exacto knife is the safest and recommended method for a clean cut. make multiple passes and do not try to cut it all in 1 or 2 passes and you will be fine

Ok, sounds good. Thanks!!

Dremel with a router attachment works great.
You can also just use a dremel with a drill bit you get a little melting but you can cut it off easily.

When NOT using templates: I scribe in a line with an awl. Use the dremel with router bit to take off most of the meat.

Then use hand files and sandpaper around small blocks to finish it up.

Dremel with a router/ plastic cutting bit.....will NOT melt it.
You need to use a low speed and not nail it like most people do.
There is a speed adjustment for a reason

Scribing your cut with an exacto, utility, awl, scriber etc first.
Cut to the line, and detail with a file

Done it literally hundreds of times.
