There were two times where a cover band doing AC/DC really grabbed my attention due to how well they nailed the tone. Both times the guys were playing JMPs and both times they were using P-90 equipped guitars (one a LP Jr and the other an old LP Custom). You should be able to score a newer Jr on the cheap...a dbl cut would even give you a similar look.

P90's huh? Never would have figured. But I like the look of a double cut Jr, I think I could make that work. I'll have to see if I can try one out locally and give it a listen...thanks!

I read that early on they had just 3 guitars; the SG, the Gretsch, and a telecaster for a back up to either one. So.....I would go telecaster and say you needed to use the back up tonight.
