Just throw out some names for me to go internet window shopping.

- One channel with a good range of usable gain.
- Two channel might be okay if there's shared EQ.
- Responds dynamically to guitar volume changes.
- I'm playing a tele, so something that gets beefy with single coils.
- I like around 50 watts, but anywhere from 20-100w might be fine.
- JCM800 is maybe, but would like something usable at home volume.
- Big plus if it sounds good boosted for high gain.
- No vintage, and nothing hard to find used.
- Sounds good with V30s (using Orange cab).
- It's for punk, alt rock, indie rock, etc. music.

I got about $1000 to spend. I'm looking at OR50s and RV50s at the moment.

I don't want this tone 'cause it's awful, but the music is along these lines:

But, I LOVE this tone:

Contact Jerry Dyer at Surreal Amps. He has some on sale on one of the Amp Show threads.

Deliverance should be your no.1 choice
I made a thread about it awhile ago. It's a possibility, but the dry and unforgiving comments are off-putting. I really want to play one of those before I can say yay or nay, or drop any money. If the opportunity comes along, I'll check it out.

It is dryish...but boost it and use the less mode and it is extremely rewarding...the feel is awesome

Listen to the first soundgarden albums. dig that tone? VTM120. Was built to be a modded Marshall killer in the early 90s, they are cheap as hell and are one channel.

Well the 5150 III 50watt in you signature sure fits the bill..... :)
I love the blue channel so much! But, I want another tonal flavor to have around.

Mesa single rectifier. Im more of a modded Marshall guy, but I had one of these and I thought it was a great amp. Plenty of gain, decent clean channel, loop, plays well with vintage 30's....... I sold it for $900.00 in mint condition. Ive seen em cheaper nowadays tho. The Deliverance is killer too. Had one and loved it. More dynamic than the Mesa, but if your hell bent on having a single channel, it fits your description of what you want very well.

This hairy marshall sound in your "good" example points to a 2205 or JCM900. If you wouldn't have posted that example I would have recomended a Ceriatone Chupa/Yeti as I really like those especially with sc's. With their low-end these amps are doing a good job as "twang boosters" :)

But you should be able to get a JCM900 for much less and that would fit your example best.

Marshall Vintage/Modern 50w
Last week a 2466c passed the bay for 400 EUR. I could still kick myself for not placing a bid

The Orange OR50 that you mentioned came to my mind too. The OR15H is basically the gain channel of a rockerverb, they go for around $800 new.

Laney GH50L

Can cover just about any and everything...find these on the cheap too. Very underated sleepers these Laneys

After seeing a YouTube comparison, I think I would choose this over the JCM800 if I went the Marshall route.

Deliverance 60 all dayyyy

I snagged mine for about $950 on the scratch n dent section at Musiciansfriend. Arrived in MINT condition :D :D

Goddamn I love that amp so much

On the super cheap side I picked up the all-tube 50 watt Kustom Defender 1x12 combo for $199 from Musiciansfriend the other day and I think it's a great amp. Single channel, el34's, built-in footswitchable solo boost, reverb, and enough gain to get in to hard rock territory on its own. It also has a master volume bypass switch which is a really cool feature.

I like it a lot!
