What's best for BE/HBE, EL-34's or 6550's?

I just watch this video call amp blend 7/9/09 by james lugo, he has two amps with ks 6550's and el34's is awesome.

My Marsha came with 4 x ARS 7025's in the preamp and 4 x ARS EL34'a in the power section.

My Friedman stuff has JJ/ E-34L's for power tubes.

EL34 are THE sound IMO. Hands down. The 6550s have more spank and are more raw but the el34s give the quintessential British sag and saturation that is on most of the great records we associate with the Marshall sound.
