I'm sure it'll take days for someone to read and reply to this, but the question still stands.
My cousin got me an electric pressure cooker the other day. It's a no name brand, but it at least brought water up to pressure the other day, so I'm guessing it works.
Here's what I've got in mine:
I started off sauteing a half pack of bacon in it, then tossed in a chopped onion with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, Hungarian paprika, and thyme. I let those caramelize a little and then tossed in about a teaspoon of minced garlic and after it cooked 30 or so seconds, I tossed in a 10oz pack of sliced up smoked beef sausage, my 1lb bag of rinsed great northern beans, a bay leaf, and 32oz of chicken stock, along with a couple more cups or so of water to get it to a good level, then tossed the lid on it and set it for 35 minutes. That's as high as this damn thing goes, so hopefully they're cooked all the way. If not, I'll just set it for another 5 or 10 minutes. This should be a very very tasty meal. It's too bad I forgot to pick up a can of diced green chilis to toss in for a bit more flavor
