I'm sure it'll take days for someone to read and reply to this, but the question still stands.

My cousin got me an electric pressure cooker the other day. It's a no name brand, but it at least brought water up to pressure the other day, so I'm guessing it works.

Here's what I've got in mine:

I started off sauteing a half pack of bacon in it, then tossed in a chopped onion with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, Hungarian paprika, and thyme. I let those caramelize a little and then tossed in about a teaspoon of minced garlic and after it cooked 30 or so seconds, I tossed in a 10oz pack of sliced up smoked beef sausage, my 1lb bag of rinsed great northern beans, a bay leaf, and 32oz of chicken stock, along with a couple more cups or so of water to get it to a good level, then tossed the lid on it and set it for 35 minutes. That's as high as this damn thing goes, so hopefully they're cooked all the way. If not, I'll just set it for another 5 or 10 minutes. This should be a very very tasty meal. It's too bad I forgot to pick up a can of diced green chilis to toss in for a bit more flavor :(

That sounds like a nice sausage bean soup. I made a pizza earlier, Im gonna make some shredded fried cabbage later.

Ahh you replied too soon lol

Did you make your own dough and everything? He has a pizza oven and he used to make lots of pizzas on it. With it being just me over here, it'll take me probably 2 or 3 days to eat up this soup. I can only imagine if I bought myself a propane powered pizza stove, I'd eat so much homemade pizza I'd gain 20 pounds lol

I haven't made fried cabbage in FOREVER. I tried it once, just bacon and cabbage and it was delicious! We made a cabbage dish in his pressure cooker the other day. Chopped cabbage, a chopped onion, a pack of chopped beef sausage, a little water with chicken bullion powder in it and 5 minutes. It was so damn good! I was going to get a head of cabbage at the store tonight and I got all my other stuff and totally didn't even think of the cabbage until I was halfway home.
