I was not impressed. I'd go with any version of 5150 over one of these.

The only one I've tried I'd the 20 watt head. The rehearsal spot we use has one and it sounds great even through a Basson cab.

I compared my HT5h and Series One 50 to my 6534 and 5150 and well ... This two Blackstar amps was neutered ...

depends what you're after, i really liked my ht-5 when i had it, for low volumes it's awesome

tried a series one 200, wasn't too impressed, the clean was great and the crunch wasn't bad, higher gain territory didn't do it for me

i've read ppl say the ht-100 has more gain/balls than the series one, try before you buy kind of thing, the ISF feature is kinda neat too

The word I'd use to describe the tone of Blackstar amps is MEH.

No shit, HT5h is great amp for hard rock, classic heavy metal but not for brutal things ;)

I played also on Series One 200 ( you can put the KT88 ) and well , this thing was great , liked that but - not my style.

Tried Series one 200.. nuthin special...Tried Gus G 200 nuthin special and NOT worth the money...
Love my HT5 combo for practicing though

Iggy Pop's band was using them live when I saw them a couple of years ago. The Blackstar amps sounded a bit too bright and harsh.

+1 lasted 2 weeks with me. Kept the cab for awhile. Not bad really for their low end cabinet. Solid.

They sound like they're running through a cheap overdrive pedal, too me. It's like my tinnitus ringing mixed in with a cheap overdrive then out of the speaker. Maybe it's they're too modern voiced for my tastes.

Weird I've heard some badass clips of them. I got to play the ht100 thought it sounded really good.
