What's up with Henning?

I don't really have a huge list of amps I really want to get my hands on at this point. But the Henning Bottle Rocket is one I would really love to try. I tend to search or wait for used stuff and I can only remember seeing one pop up here and I was too late.
Every once in a while I see a Cherry Bomb on GC Used, Reverb or Ebay, but even those don't come through here much. I did have one for a while and I probably should have hung on to it longer. The Bottle Rocket is really the one I want at this point though.
Just surprised there hasn't been much noise about them and not many floating around on the used market. Guessing there hasn't really been that many produced?
 
Guitarist are fickle. Lots of great amps get pushed to the wayside due to the next flavor of the month.
 
I don't think many were produced.. I also think that those that have them, tend to keep them... great sounding & feeling amp, that is very well made too.

Yeah, the quality of the Cherry Bomb I had was outstanding. Any idea if he is still building amps? Website is still up, but nothing new since 2017 the best I could tell. It does appear there was activity on the Henning Facebook page up to Oct of last year.
 
He posts a lot on another Guitar forum. I assume he is still amp-making

I emailed him through his website last week, but never heard back. Check with RT member JerEvil, I think he may be in the process of a new CB.
 
The Cherrybomb has been on my list for sure especially the new updated V2.

He needs to make a small 25w head. 100W are too big for most clubs now. :doh:

The Bottle Rocket is 50. It is physically smaller than a standard head. And it has a Master volume to allow you to set the volume you need for any room.
 
I've always loved the sound of a Marshall with a Fortin Cali mod . I know Mike is coming out with his own Fortin Cali , but I wonder how close a Henning Bottle Rocket could get to that ?

I believe it has more gain/aggression inline with the Bottlerocket.

Pretty close..I own a Fortin Cali Mod Marshall and also did a demo for the Henning Bottle Rocket awhile back..

His Master Volumes work incredibly well. No need for a lower wattage version.

I really need to make a new Intro for Steve on my CB vids. That one I did with the BR and just a 121 mic. It also kills me that I didn't realize the URL wasn't centered under the damn logo!

Yeah the Bottle Rocket is a sick amp. The V2 Cherry Bomb is essentially a 2 Channel Bottle Rocket. The amps are ridiculously overbuilt in that I am sure you could throw one off the roof of your house and it'd still fire up just fine. I thought I was going to throw my back out pulling the Cherry Bomb out today! LOL!

Steve is an absolutely awesome dude....and his amps are as good as it gets IMHO.

My Cherry Bomb is the best Marshall based amp I’ve ever played. LOVE it!

Mine is V1 and it brings the heavies in a BIG way.

I’ve got a bunch of Cherry Bomb vids up on YouTube. They are all recorded with an iPhone, so no professional recording, but they give you an idea what it can do in the brewtz world.

Dude your vids always sound awesome. Even for iPhone. They always got my GAS meter peaked. Your CB Thrash clips are great.
 
The cherry bomb that I owned is at guitar center now. Search guitar center laurel, MD.
