I have a oversized recto with v30s and a front loaded uberkab with v30s and G75s. Both are cool and have their strengths and weaknesses what is you fav speaker and cab combo? For Uberschall, rectifier, vh4 etc.

I haven't found anything I like better than the matching cab for Dual Rectifiers... I've never owned an Uber or VH4 though.

Mesa Stiletto cab. The Marshall sized one. Tight as Hell and the lows don't get out of control as easily.

Agreed, but for me diezel frontloaded with v30's

Ive been on this hunt for over a year now. First it was Engl pro, then VHT fatbottom or deliverance cabinets, mesa oversized and stiletto, then krank, THD, fender 5150 III, splawn, bogner oversized 2x12's, and then Diezel.

Even had greg set me up with a blind test to help me choose and narrow three of those down using only my ears.

Narrowed it down to two:

Front loaded Diezel 4x12 with V30's or GK-100's.

and This for mic'ed recording:

It depends on the amp. The only cab I've played that doesn't seem to sound bad with any head is my US made Diezel 4x12 loaded with EVM12L Black Labels. You have to be careful playing a recto through it though because the loose bass that rectos have can be a bit much with the bass heavy EV's. I don't have any issues with my Herbert though.

With my Herbert, my German Diezel 4x12 GK100 front loaded cab might sound a little better. But that depends on my mood.

I've not played an Uber yet. And I'm not a fan of the Mesa OS cabs.

My Bogner straight/V30 cab is awesome with my Rev F Recto. It REALLY woke the amp up. I previously played the Recto with a Greenback Marshall cab, or a 75 watt Marshall cab, and the Bogner V30 just slays.

I don't play much of that style anymore, but the Engl Pro was the best for me.

For all around great sound, my VHT deliverance 4x12 seems to sound fantastic with everything, especially with my ultralead obviously. The fatbottom I have is great as well, but can be a bit too beamy and directional for some heads, making some sound kinda boxy and flat to me. The deliverance is much more alive, fills the room, dynamics etc, I love it. Alittle looser than the fatbottom, but 10x tighter than just about any marshall/mesa/orange cab I have tried. I had a front loaded diezel that was great as well, but still nowhere near as tight as the VHT/Fryette stuff. The Deliverance is just a great cab all around in my opinion.

The old "snake skin" Randall Lynch box cabs loaded with the Super V's........

Mine would be my rear loaded splawn straight cab. Everything about it to me is just right. mines loaded with v30's and cl80's

Cameron w/ H30s
VHT D-cab w/ V30s & K100s
Randall XXL w/ V30s & 75s

Mesa Recto 4x12 Slant.

That said, I've been re-loading an Orange 4x12 with Mesa OEM V30s and it's starting to sound a lot more like a Recto cab than an Orange cab. Once I get the other two speakers replaced it should sound a lot better.

Voltage VB412, with the single-piece back (not the variable back) option. (Using the single-piece back makes the sound more focused at very high volumes with high gain and bass.)

Deep and articulate sound but not too "stiff" either; there's some "movement" to the sound, although it still holds up very well for loud volumes and lots of gain/bass.

I favor a mix of WGS Invader and Liberator speakers in the cab, and a small extra touch I like is having it wired parallel-series to bring the mids up front a bit more.

My 1973 Marshall straight cab with rola greenbacks. I used it with my "metal" project (was more of a Rammstein sorts of thing).

I just can't bond with V30s no more.

So far, Bogner straight 4x12 is the best I've used. Came with Greenbacks (which I love), trying out G12-65's at the moment. They are amazing speakers, but only when you get them cooking.

I love my Fryette Fatbottoms with V30s and have tried an old RL Uberkab with the 75/30 mix a that was killer. Would like to try the new FL version as well as teh Diezel FL everyone has mentioned.

my fav is the uberkab, i been using one since 2004.
i also have a evh cab and a recto cab and i like both, i also owned vht, splawn and marshall cabs and they was nice.
