What are you using for non-master volume Marshalls? THD Hot Plate?

I use a H.B.E. Plank Cranker.
I do not use distortion pedals much myself ..... but the H.B.E. is the one I would use.

The only "Marshall" I have anymore is my THD Series One Plexi (JMP style amp, 4 input, no master ..... easy best amp I have ever heard) and I use a THD Hot Plate.

Nothing....

I was watching a vid of you today with your 69, sounds great, great playing too. It popped up a window that said you were using something like a DOD? Was that an overdrive?

James. This is the pedal to get. Order it and wait and you will be glad you did.

Majikbox Rocket Fuel. It is the skin ticket bro.

Is it mail order only? The site shows no US dealer or distributor.

Someone you know has to have a first version OCD you could try out. OCD+ Marshall= I also like an Xotic RC Boost. It's are the most transparent OD pedal I have used.

I have an OCD, not sure what version but I'm gonna check it out tomorrow.

I love the way the BB Pre and OCD v4 I have sound with my 50 Watt Metro Plexi. Absolutely ripping. I also really like a pedal called the Sexdrive.

Thanks James. On that small board is one of the Digitech Distortion Factory. One of the models is of the old DOD250, like Malmsteen uses. I like that setting alot and would like to try a real one sometime.

Actually I have a TS-9 and SD-1 that I modded, Distortion Factory, MXR Micro amp and a Tube Driver pedal....for recording I really don't use anything anymore. Used to always use something, kinda like the straight sound now.

Hate to hijack, but you guys are killing me with this plexi talk. Is the Marshall 1987xl decent?? There's one local for $700 which seems like a good deal. But don't know if I should go for an "older" real Marshall like a JMP or something?

Cusack screamer is a great pedal.
I would rather just run a slave setup though.

I think they are just fine and $700 is a very good price. When they (the XL versions) first came out I sold one to Joe Bonamassa when he was in the store where I used to work.

Can't go wrong with the ol standby TS-9! I've got a Keeley modded one and it rocks!

The OCD, BBpre, SD-1, Fulldrive, and DOD250 all rock too!!

James... I smell a MARSHALL OVERDRIVE PEDAL SHOOTOUT!!!!!!!!!!!

Just keep it really simple. Your Les Paul, a great 412, some sort of great plexi amp. and about 20 boutique pedals. DO IT!!!!!
