What's your favorite single-coil sized humbucker?

I wanna keep the neck and middle vintage, but I'd like to put a humbucking single-sized pickup in the bridge that will do the old VH brown sound well.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues with the tone rolled down to about 7.

The Injector is killer too. Big, loud, ballsy.
Check out the Mr. Big live at Budakon DVD.

I don't think the Virtual Vintage and Injector can be considered humbuckers?

Because I like Alnico pickups, I'd personally go with a full-sized humbucker rather than a single-sized one (which often require ceramic magnets in order to provide more output)

I too am looking for a single sized HB.
My Strat Plus has Lace sensors with a red in the bridge.
It's a really nice pup and has really good output for a single.
But I want more oomph, low end. No noise as it's a Lace sensor.

I was considering a double Lace red or a full size HB, but I don't want to do all the alterations needed for a full size.
Some single HB's I've looked at:
SD Pearly Gates
SD single HB with alnico mag
SD Hot Stack Plus
SD JB Jr.
Bill Lawrence L-250B
Bill L. "Dime Bag"
Lace Holy Grail
Found a single HB on Ebay name "dragon fire", very low cost. Might get one just to try.
I'll keep checking this thread to read what you did and how you like it. :)

The guitar isn't routed for a humbucker in the bridge, and I don't want to hack it up.

I like the boring old Hotrails for the neck position, but have to echo the sentiment above - I've not heard a single sized humbucker that genuinely sounds like a full-size in the bridge position. Not that that's a bad thing necessarily, but if that's what you're trying to get, you might find yourself disappointed.

Is that the "Back to Budokan" from 2009? He plays an awesome surf green fireman with dual hums that I'd love to mock up.
