1959 Melody Maker D. Feel like the LP case is circa 70, though. I can't seem to get a good picture of all the checking, but it's covered. Thank you for posting this thread @rsm It motivated me to take it out and play it (though for a shortwhile, it's late in my world). Holy, though. The whole guitar just sustains with the lightest touches and acoustically louder than a lot of acoustics. I get caught up sometimes in my latest gear to forget to appreciate the others as often as I should. ?

78 Gibson Explorer . I've had it since it was new and have played the crap out of it. I saw Pete Willis playing one from Def Leppard and knew I had to have one!

Love Kahlers. Probably not a popular opinion around here with everyone naming their kids Floyd or Eddie.

Yeah, I´ve had a few of them over the years even if this is the only one I have now. Great unit with a very unique feel. Takes a bit of care to get them working like they should, for sure, and since a lot of people think even the dead-simple Floyd is hard to adjust I can see why many don´t like them.

So, my oldest guitar is my acoustic, it's also my first guitar. Fender DG-8, made in Korea. My parents bought it for me new when I was 10, in 1998. So it's 19 years old.
