say you have to stop playing guitar (or whichever is your main instrument) what's the second in line?

in my case Singing, which I prefer to playing guitar anyways.

Seems like I'd see more people saying "Bass".

But, Bass for me. I started playing cello as a kid, which turned to bass guitar.

I still have a good bass and amp, and I still enjoy playing it.

Keys - was actually classically trained on the piano. years ago (70's) played out using a Rhodes 88 and a Hammond B3 with Leslie. These days the guitar is for fun and profit, but when there are too many gitfiddle players, I'll get on the keys. Always wanted to be Rick Wakeman, but it never worked out

Alto sax. tenor sax, drums... I suck at all of them worse than I suck at guitar, so guitar is number 1 :D

Piano. I suck at it but I know If I practiced I could be decent. I have a nice one in my living room. I was getting some basic rock songs down like the intro to Don't Stop Believing. But if I don't practice it I can't do it after a few days.

Drums.

I found the drum forums boring, so I picked up the guitar and joined Rig Talk...... :D

I can play a mean bass......and yes....Trumpet.
Played it in Jr. High....

I'm a singer first so guitar is technically second. I was trained on the keys from youth and play bass as well. Used to own a kit but never applied any real effort. Much prefer programming percussion, though the Roland Handsonic is pretty cool. In order of comfort zone...

Vox
Guitar
Keys
Bass
Drums/Percussion

SoundPrism, Glodrums, AlchemySynth, or Mugician on the iPad.

Tenor sax. Been playing it for over forty years, except that I stopped playing it for 20 years at one point. Here's the horn, a Keilwerth Tone King.

Bass, there are actually periods of time where I only play bass and don't touch my guitars.
