a floyd spaced, CREAM colored humbucker pickup ring that is flat and not sloped? Thanks in advance!

Seymour Duncan has what I am looking for in black.

Seymour Duncan's Trembucker pickups for guitars with tremolos require a pickup ring with a longer inside opening from top to bottom. The actual bobbins are longer on the Duncans. DiMarzio and Suhr and most others use the exact same size bobbins as their standard pickups and just spread the polepieces out more. On those you can use a standard humbucking ring.

Seymour Duncan does provide a matte black Trembucker ring with all their Trembucker pickups, but... what is that matte black ring going to match? Most guitars either have gloss black or cream humbucker rings.

What we have always done is if we want a cream ring on a Duncan Trembucker, we grab a box knife and basically make a whittling motion to slowly and hopefully evenly shave away the top and bottom openings on the standard sized pickup ring. There is no other way that we have ever found and no one makes a ring for them in cream.

Wow, thanks for the clarification, I learned something there.

Chubtone, thank you very much for the information!
I just purchased your double cream Duncan TB-16 for sale on Reverb last week, and I am thinking it would look best with a cream ring.
What would be your preference, DiMarzio or Suhr, to match the color of the pickup?
Thanks for your time. I appreciate it!

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. Are you asking what other brand of pickup would match the Duncan cream color or are you asking about what brand of humbucker ring would match the pickup you bought last week?

Sorry for not being clear. I was wondering if you had a preference on pickup ring (Dimarzio or Suhr) to match the Duncan cream color?
I want to get the colors to match as closely as possible. Thanks!

Didn't think a pickup ring came in different sizes.

A floyd spaced humbucker fits in any ring. And if you can't find a flat one just run it over a piece of sandpaper.
Came to say just get the closest one to your needs in thickness, and grab a couple pieces of sandpaper to get it down to the height you want.

Edit: I checked SD's site, and was surprised they didn't have any themselves. Odd. Maybe email them, and see if they're available?

They are 100% not available from Duncan in cream. I have been trying to get them for 30 years from Duncan.

I am unaware of Suhr even making pickup rings. DiMarzio's cream color has gotten a little too yellow/orange undertones for me. I would look at pickup rings from All Parts or Gibson or WD. But none of them seem to match with the exact same cream colors. When you first get them you might look and compare them and think they are off but if you install them and let a few minutes go by, normally they look fine.
