I'm looking to buy an Ibanez J-Custom (new or used) but want to play before I purchase. Does anyone know where I can find one in the MD, DC, DE, VA area?
That isn't going to happen, bro. As far as I understand, J-Customs are not available at retail outlets in the USA. Go play a high end Prestige and if you like that, the J-Custom will be even better.nevusofota":jxqdllej said:I'm looking to buy an Ibanez J-Custom (new or used) but want to play before I purchase. If you still want one, hit up meestursparkle on eBay - I've worked with him importing guitars from japan several times and it has always been completely smooth. I see right now he only has two up on eBay, but he usually has a ton of them...

food for thought - any Jcustoms that are 2011 and newer are going to be retailed now. it was announced at NAMM - i saw the youtube video on ibanez and remember them saying this.
but anything older than 2011 will be strictly japan/import only.
wow, that is great news! I've been using meestursparkle too, great guy to deal with, but always uneasy getting something shipped from Japan and playing roulette with customs.glpg80":33hto5gi said:sah5150":33hto5gi said:That isn't going to happen, bro. Anyone considering a new Ibanez would do themselves a solid and buy from Rich Harris (Ibanezrules)

Rich is the man for high end Ibanez guitars.![]()
I saw the new j customs coming to the us market. I'm not a big fan of the vine fretboard inlay. You can't get standard dots as far as I can tell.glpg80":116a0rcq said:sah5150":116a0rcq said:That isn't going to happen, bro. Thanks for the offer but I'm trying to find one without the vine inlay. That is a sweet guitar though. Is it still for sale in case I change my mind? It is no longer in your sig.M.Axel":2m95jydx said:Dude im going to sell mine...the one in my sig..it got a bareknuckle calibrated set of coldsweat and a trilogy suite in the midle.
