The justice department is still "weaponized" — IE selective, politicized, arbitrary and capricious. But even so, that doesn't mean they're unable to hold a trial where real crimes are found and punished. Not sure that this is going to be one of them.

I think it's all a shit show. But illegal disposal of a firearm that he lied on paperwork to obtain.. it's a felony. If any other gun owner did the same, I'd expect a conviction & jail time. Pretty straight forward.
