Some of you guys have impeccable hearing, so let me ask you, what amp did Gibson use in these videos?

A modded Helios 50 :D

Would have been funny if the Helios existed back when these videos were made.

Line 6. I hear some modeler characteristics in there.

I asked this question a long time ago and a Gibson rep came along and said it was a 40w Gibson branded amp from the early 2000's. I didn't realize that Gibson was making amps up not so long ago. I thought they only made them back in the 50's or something. I don't know if what he said was legitimate, but it would be interesting to find out.

Goldtones were made for them by Trace Elliot, if I'm not mistaken. This started in the late 90's. And, I don't recall a 40 watt, but a 15, and a 30. I could be wrong.

The 30 watt had a Vintage 30, and a Vintage 10, 10". It was actually a pretty sweet sounding amp. Just a moderate crunch, but nice British flavor. Alot like the Peavey Classic 50 at that time, but more Voxy, to my ears.

I sold my Gibson Ga-60Rrv Super Goldtone in 2013. BIG BIG mistake! That was a killer fucking amp. It was loaded with 2 Ipswich made V-30s.

Too bad their amps didn't catch on. I've only seen a couple of dingy Gibson amps, but they looked like huge 2x12 combos. I regret not playing one now that I've read great things about them.

Ty Tabor once upon a time used Gibson Labs transistor amps. Can't rally listen to the vids ATM, but I'd wonder if maybe it's a variation of....
