Xotic BB preamp?
TubeScreamer?
DOD 250?
How about fx pedals?

I'm interested in testing some different pedals thru my Triaxis and 2:90 rig just to test some different tones. I think Xotic BB preamp would be nice. Which are some cool FX pedals to check out?

my top 2 right now are the BB preamp and the MJM Blues Devil.
The Blues Devil knocked a bunch of 'boutique' OD's off the board.
I'll be doing a little review of my 2 new MJM pedals this weekend ;)

I really enjoy my MI Audio BluesPro, great boost or flat out distortion pedal to drive clean amps. Mine has the updated fuzz feature but not a fuzz type of guy so for all I know it sounds like shit to the fuzz police

I want to try that TC Nova floor board, looks really cool.

Everything in my signature works for me except the SD-1 which I am trading in for a credit toward a TS-9 Mod Plus from Keeley. The TS-9 should work well with my rig.

Thanks for the suggestions and opinions, people!

Like I said, I love the different tones I'm getting out of my TA & 2:90 rig but lately I've started to think why not to get some pedals for different tones. Some more unusual tones would be nice, me thinks. Any else FX pedals, other than delay or reverb, I should check out?

Is there some manufacturer that makes MIDI-controllable loopers in non-rack form so that I could put it in a rack-shelf where I'd put the pedals too?

My personal fav is a Bodenhamer-modded Boss SD-1. It does everything from almost-clean boost with the drive off to wandering into DS-1 territory.

After going through quite a few pedals recently, my current favorite is my Lovepedal Purple Plexi 800. It's a full blown Marshally distortion, not an OD or a boost, but it's killer sounding to me.

Also, I didn't realize just how much I liked the SubDecay EchoBox modulated delay until I just got a TC Electronic Nova Delay the other day and compared the two. The EchoBox sounds much better to me at both analog delay tones AND sweet chorus.

Chris

Chris, is the PP800 a very middy pedal? I ask because the MK1 is a mid-heavy monster (mine doesn`t have a graphic EQ), and I believe I`m better off with a pedal that is possible to scoop a little, or is naturally scooped.

Anyone?

It's possible I'm just a pedal idiot, but I didn't like OD pedals with the Triaxis.

Some preamps take pedals well. HK Access comes to mind, but I felt the Triaxis just got noisy and even more compressed with the addition of boosts and OD's.

It already compresses nicely without pedals.

Wassup, Gene? I'm totally satisfied with the TA's sounds but I thought I'd try something different. I gotta re-think this if the TA doesn't like pedals...

The Nobels units come to mind, but they only have one loop, though you can run as many as you like simultaneously. Nobels Electronics

If you're running a rack, how come you specifically want a non-rackmounted unit? The Voodoo Labs GCX would be pretty perfect if you have several pedals...

Just trying to save 1 rackspace. :)
