I am thinking of getting the New Mesa Jp-2c. What cabs hve you used and what do you recommend? I currently have a EVH 5150III 2x12.

Thanks

I assumed it was designed with the Mesa traditional 4x12 in mind, since that's what JP uses.

Any V30 cab should sound great, I have a Rivera K412 and its as good as a Bogner V30..I A/Bd them. Killer with my 2C+. Just got a 2x12 Mesa halfback with EVs, also great. The older Mesa cabs with C90s also sound great. G12 65s sound good also. Haven't tried GBs, although I have a 425a cab coming so we'll see. Some say GBs aren't the best with Marks...

i would think the old metal grill mark cabs with ev's and 90's would be perfect.....

I have a 2x12 horizontal recto cab and maybe I'm in the minority but I hate it. Bought myself a 2x12 OS Port City cab and it's much better. JP-2C and Port City are a great match. Creamback V30 combo btw.

I ended up selling the 2x12 horizontal recto cab I had in favor of a Port City regular cab a long time ago....just sounded better to me as well.

This is what I have and it sounds great!

Haven't gotten a jp-2c yet, but I've had some c+ and honestly, most good cabs are going to sound good. I loved mine with a Marshall or bogner 4x12 with vintage 30s, or greenbacks.

I use:

Friedman
EVH
Bogner

All sounds great with my JP2C.

Glad someone else has tried Port City. I know they've been around a while but I finally ordered one about a month ago. Pricey but worth it.

I just ordered a 4x12 Bogner Helios cabinet. 2 Greenbacks on top and V30's on the bottom.
Seemed like a great combination.
