Someone gave me a cheap one (Behringer DD400), it works fine when in front of the amp - with some hiss - but in the fx loop, it sucks tone badly, but no hiss. Tried it in different positions in my fx chain with the same result. It's either I don't know how to use it or the pedal is a piece of turd. I vote for turd. Strangely, I have 2 other Behringer cheapo pedals and they work fine in the loop of my amp.

You would think it's the opposite since all fx should always be in the loop, but it's not. And using it in front is not an option, the hiss is annoying. I do not use a lot of fx, just a little to color the sound, so I don't need the "I got this delay from a guy in Singapore who builds them by hand and sells them for a mere $600". You know what I mean.

What are you guys using? Pedals, no multi fx or rackmount stuff.

Ibanez DE-7

I do have a Timefactor on the way as well. I'm real curious to see how this thing sounds both in the loop and out in front

I was using a Visual Audio H2O that was solid, but have recently switched to a DD-20. I haven't figured out all the stuff on the new pedal, but it's pretty cool, good tones, lots of variable control.

just sold my boss dd-3 and line6 echo park to get a boss dd-7.

the dd-7 is fantastic. it sounds great and works really well in the loop of my amps. i also love the external tap tempo function which i'm controlling with a little tap tempo pedal i rigged up. definitely worth the money IMO

Just picked up an MXR Carbon Copy....love it! My DD-3's put away now.

Thx guys.

I was actually debating over the DD-7 and the Carbon Copy, but I'm open to all suggestions. I don't have a lot in my fx chain: Wah, Phaser, Chorus, Micro Amp and delay, that's all I need really.

TimeFactor is out of my price range, but it seems like a really nice delay pedal.

I have a pair of Carbon Copies on my board, love them. Nice analog delay.

Boss RV-3

Sounds good to me, it's cheap, it's easy to dial in, and it has reverb too.

TimeFactor best delay pedal ever made! :D

We shall see after me and Amplifire compare the Timefactor against the Timeline. After listening to what people have said after doing the same comparison i went with the Timeline.

I think i went through about 12 delays since xmas...this one has been on the board the longest:
