Hi everyone,
I am wondering which Friedman amp would be the best to replicate Edward Van Halen's sound ?

So heavy rock, not metal...

Friedman offers a few 20W amps (Runt, JJ-Junior, Little Sister, Jake E. Lee signature amp, Pink Taco), I am also wonders if any of these would do the job ?!

Or maybe even the Friedman IR-X preamp ?!

If anybody well-versed in Friedman amps could give a hint, that would be great !
Best,
Vincent

Free bump for Vincent and welcome to Rig-Talk

Jdub should chime in on this one he said that the PT V 2 is instant VH-2 tone

I own a JJ Jr. and owned a Pink Taco V2 recently. I think the PT V2 would be the best option.

If you really want to capture his tone, across the board, certain pedals can help you get there. I'm sure you know about the phaser, delay, reverb, etc but if not let us know. Tons of VH fans here that can help.

PT-20 V2 gets my vote as well.

Well there’s a strange rumor that he’s releasing a 68 plexi with a Master Volume but I haven’t seen much about it ?

:poke:
I don't care what anyone says, I want one, lol.

I hope you know I was being sarcastic.
I haven’t been on Rig talk in a very long time. I’ve missed a bunch lol. I’m sure there’s been crazy hype. Makes sense that you were being sarcastic.
