which of Dave's amps are close to old VH?

I'm guessing the brown eye but thought I'd check. Like the sound on VH2 actually

Well its actually the closest of all the amps Dave builds.
If it nails early VH or not is another story... I think there are other amps that do THAT sound, such as the Rockstah Mod 5. Having said that I still purchased the Marsha because I like its voicing even more!

Oh don't get me wrong; Dave knows exactly how to nail early EVH! I just don't think any of his production models are the best bet for that though. He'll tell you like anyone else that you're going to have to get a 68-ish NMV and start from there.

I DO believe that if someone were to ask him to get you there he could very easily however (actually he has countless times for others). And I must reiterate; the Marsha or whatever it's called now is a KILLER amp...far and away better than anything that Marshall is doing. :no: The mids in the Marsha aren't really voiced for EVH though (again...STILL a GREAT amp).
