Looking into patch cables to wire up my new pedal board. Im looking for great quality and reliability. Im not scared of a soldering iron either. What do you guys recommend ? Thanks in advance for your input.

I use George L's. Can make them whatever length you want. I am curious to see what others say.

I've just been through this recently, testing different branded (i.e. Lava, GL, Mogami, Planet waves Etc.)1 foot patch cables. I would a/b them using an Octaswitch and couldn't hear ANY difference. So, go with Mogami 2319 and Switchcraft pancake plugs for the most reliable and cost effective.

Thanks for all your input. I was leaning towards the Mogami 2319 and switch crafts.

I like both of them also.

Mogami, Canare...all good. I went with Evidence audio monorail and the SIS plugs. Worked fabulous!

I like Canare, after testing several cables including mogami which is nice also...I could hear a difference in every cable I tried. Canare had the most clarity especially on the top end and low lows. Its a bit brighter than mogami .

What length cables did you test? I could here no difference in a 1 ft patch cable. Now, a 20 ft cable is a different story.

I actually did compare a 4ft canare to a 4ft mogami , there was a noticeable difference to my ears. mogami has a somewhat dark tone , a little treble roll off in comparison to Canare..If you are wiringing up a pedal board with several 1ft jumpers and used two different brands I would be able to notice a difference...Some more than others , there are some brands that will sound more similar to eachother, depending on the design.

Personally I would go with Canare , the clarity is very beneficial for pedal boards IMO

George L's here as well. Fairly small board with most runs 6" and a couple 12".

I just rewired a couple of pedalboards with lava cable tightrope kits. It took a little bit to get the hang of assembling them, but the result was great afterwards.
