I had to pull the boards to make some minor changes and decided to build the amp back into the white chassis.
I changed the input circuit a bit and fixed the bias issue with a resistor change and the amp really came alive now that the tubes are getting what they need (35 ma or so...) and the input circuit is better.
It sounds goddamn SICK now!
No clips yet, because I still have a problem with the efx loop to diagnose and fix.
Here's a few pics of Cherry Bomb #1 to tide you over until the remaining fixes and clips:
