Who has used the Keeley Compressor and the Keeley Katana?

I want a pedal that will make my Vintage Modern a little more aggressive than it's stock form but more importantly I want to add sustain. I want that liquidy lead feel like the Mk IV has but with the Marshall tone. I use a Keeley SD-1 with the Level maxed and just a bit of Gain. This does what I want with humbuckers but falls short with my Strat. I need what the SD-1 does but a little more. So just add the Compressor with the SD-1 or go to the Katana?

I ABed the Keeley compressor with the EH Soul Preacher and ended up buying the EH. FOr about half the price, I thought the EH sounded just as good. YMMV, but worth the mention.

Good info. Thanks! Does it do a good job of increasing sustain without coloring the tone to much?

i have a keeley compressor and a boss compressor. i always use my boss.

Really? Very interesting. So does it add sustain without coloring the tone?

The EH does a very nice job of staying out of your tone. And yes, it adds a tone of sustain if you want it. I use mine to goose the volume an add a touch of sustain for solos. Sounds great with my rig, and with the amp I demoed it with at the store. Costs roughly $99 to $110.
