Acle is a great guitarist. Used to contribute quite a bit at HCAF back in the mid 2000s. I'm sure he is too busy to give updates like he used to. In fact, I have a mp3 folder created just for the small clips he used to post. Some really great stuff in those clips.

You're gonna need to upload them in a folder and share :)

my favorite clip of theirs was this short intro type thing with saxophone.. it was GLORIOUS. I always wished there was an entire song with that kind of awesomeness.

they never went anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!

i always post this video when talking about them heh

I remember liking them a whole lot more when it was just the guitarists solo project. Once they added all the other musicians I feel like it got watered down a bit.

LOL. I know that totally sounds like "I knew them before they were big" nonsense but thats really not it. I guess its because dude used to post stuff that was shorter and more direct. Although now that I think about it, that entire genre is completely based on one guitar sound and completely overblown production and that only ever appealed to me the first two or three times I heard it. Now whenever I listen to any of the bands in that niche, it just sounds full of itself. Like the music has nothing actually new in the last five years or so and a whole bunch of filler background effects to make up for it. Its only slightly different than bands that record an entire album of breakdowns IMO.

Massive Powerball tone clippage wasnt it!

Not my kind of thing, but a very good rythym guitar player. he was from the uk wasnt he?

:D

I have to say though, I preferred the tones he was getting back then better too. I think it's mostly due to the guitar being more up front in the mix.
