Who is actually satisfied with their rig?

Is there anyone out there who has kept the same 'main' amp for at least 1 to 2 years? I'm very happy to say that I've had my Egnater Mod 50 for a little over 2 years. I could absolutely sell my other amps and not miss them; I have a Soldano Atomic 16 and Boogie MK IV that I don't even play. I also have an Axe FX Ultra, but I only use that for recording. When I see people buying and quickly selling their Cameron's, Diezels, Bogners, etc, I have to wonder if they will ever be satisfied. I'm at the point now where I found a sweet amp that does what I want, and I just want to play; no more fooling around with new amps for me.

Im literally almost at that point. Right now im just working on getting rid of excess hums and noises in my rig, and then once i get all the programming down, my rig will be as close to perfect as i think i could possibly get it by myself.

Totally satisfied with my SLO rig. It's a strange feeling indeed not to want anything else.

LOVE it!

I'm really happy with what I have, I just need to set it up right. I finally bought a patch cable kit so I can wire my pedalboard up properly. I still need to get a decent power supply to minimise the hum and keep the noise low, and sort out a MIDI floor switcher to control everything.

I'm also debating whether to buy a 2x12 cab, or make my own 2x12 by cutting up an old 4x12 cab that I have spare.

After having the same main amp for years I'm actually making a switch and am super-happy with the tone. Just need to get the rig (switching & such) set up around it and it'll be unstoppable.

Broadly happy with mine! I'm settling into the Herbert as a main amp. Just debating whether to keep my VH4 or go for a more organic amp like a Bogner XTC or some kind of hot-rodded Marshall.

Oh, and I'd quite like a Strymon Orbit.

I have been using a Mesa DC5 combo with matching 2x12 I bought new in 1992. I bought several other amps along the way only to keep going back to my Mesa. What has changed over the years is the pre-amps and OD's I use with it. The amp has never let me down at any time and it provides a solid foundation to build my sound around.

Very happy. Had a Mod 50 for years and loved that amp. Moved it though as I felt the Eggie focus was on the GC stuff. Now I have a Plexi and a few pedals and just love it every time I plug in.

Zachman, that rig is plain sick bro!!! Dang.

 Thanks...

Yep.

Suhr/CAE PT100 with TC G System.

1 mini board for travel gigs - Wampler Pinnacle, Carbon Copy, MXR Chorus, EVH Phaser and Wah

LP, Strat, Luke, Axis

All the bases covered and more than I'll ever need......

I'm very happy with my current set up. XTC Classic, 2X12 with V-30's. Only thing I may do is get a rack gizmo and midi controller to control the head and effects...

Yup, very satisfied with mine.
I had a Mark IV for 4 years now and it was my main amp until I got myself a Mark V a few months ago.
I had a chance to play the V live and I worked great!
Will I get rid of the IV ?
Nope.

I've also had the same guitar (ebmm petrucci bfr) and cab (Mesa traditional) for years.

Im more than satisfied.

Very happy with my current uberschall, i been playing it for the last 3 yrs and its awsome, i been playing ubers for about 7 years now and there was a time where i would buy and then keep it a year and then sell it or a cobra or quickrod. Then 6 months later buy another uber. I finally stopped doing that and i have been really happy with it.

Another amp i love is my slash jube 2555, i have owned it for a year and a half now and it always makes me happy, i owned one years ago and i missed it and had to buy another one. I sold some amps i loved but didnt know how much i loved them till they was gone. The grass wasnt greener.

I really like the herbert and have been playing it for the last 6 months and it isnt going anywhere, love the amp and its another amp i had that i made a mistake selling and then years later had to buy another one.

And the mkiv is the amp i wished i had tried when i began playing 16 yrs ago, its one of the best sounding amps i ever owned or played, its the tone i had in my head for years. ive only been playing it for 7 months but i love it.

I was content with my ubers and they was my fav amps but with so many choices out there i had to try everything i could to see if i was missing out, so i was a amp flipper for a few years but it was a good thing, i got it out of my system and got to hear what i liked and hated about amps.

I'm mostly satisfied with my current rig... the one area I feel lacks is effects and switching.

As a rhythm player all I ever needed was clean and dirty... but moving into lead guitar I want a little bit more going on and the ability to have 1 button switching between dry rhythm and effected lead.

I am happy with my Rigs. I don't think I could be happy with any one amp. I found that variety is what I like and want. As for playing with a Band, I just use the one that fits the set list the best.

Like Les Zombie, 2 of my amps are a Marshall 2553 Silver jubilee and Mesa mark IVA. :)

Sounds like me the last year/two with my Mark V

I'm keeping it this time...!

I used what was essentially the same rack system (swapped out items here and there but always came back to the same pre and power amps) from '92 through '09 for hard rock/metal. I've also used a Matchless Chieftain since '98 for all my blues/funk/classic rock gigs.

I picked up a Marsha going on a year ago and have used it for basically everything since...methinks its a keeper.

Mostly everyone with the Axe-FX are silent, they gotta upgrade every year

I think it's coming up on a year with my 5150 & Recto Cab and longer with my Ibanez RGA, I have absolutely no plans in my future to sell any of those things or my pedal board. Short of some family emergency, it won't happen. Other guitars might come and go, but this stuff stays :) The only thing that I've been looking for is a crappy little backup amp.
