Who is excited about the Voldemort episode on Tone Talk this week?

I’m super excited.

My bets:

1. Billy Howerdel signature rack (Dave or Billy mentioned this, I forgot)

2. Billy is advertising gear he will be selling (he mentioned this a few weeks ago)

Oh wow I had no idea on both counts

I’ve never cared for his tone, but I’ll say he’s really good at writing songs that flow and his use of atmosphere is pretty impressive
 
I will add I’ve given up on getting Dave to sell me a naked amp…just not meant to be lol

I really enjoyed the Dean Deleo episode, as he was a very humble, normal guy. He even answered a few of my questions. I also enjoyed the 2nd Jake Lee episode a lot. My all time favorite episode was the Lee Jackson one, because that guy was hilarious and had so many stories.

The funniest part about Lee Jackson is that every time his name comes up Dave just shits on his mods lololol

Oh really? I'll have to pay more attention. I wonder why they invited him on then?

I'm not excited about the upcoming Vox amp, but it's because I don't like Vox amps. The Jose I think will be "the" Friedman for many years to come.

Well the episode with Lee on the show was fine but then subsequently when Marc got his Lee Jackson modded Ampeg, Dave was pretty clear Marc would need to send it to him to “make it sound better”

That lasted a while until Marc sold the ampeg, it was pretty funny

To be fair, not many hot rod amps from that era were anywhere near what we can get now….excelling on the shoulders of those who came before us and all that.

Well, I remember thinking they were pretty bad back then too..😂

If you can’t surpass a TS-9 or SD-1 slamming a 6 knobber I don’t know why you’re doing what you do.
