not finding many reviews. Who owns one and could tell me about it?

I just picked one up from music 123 on a deal i saw on amazon believe it or not. Kind of spur of the moment. But it was a sale and mad cheap.
Honestly i was not expecting much hearing so much B.S About where it was being built, The cheap Parts, yada yada yada, Mike Fortin Not Hand building it.
The amp seriously Kicks Major ass. Blows away many amps twice some even 3 times the price when it comes to heavy chunking Riffing. Its the ultimate Rhythm Guitar Metal amp. You can adjust so many modern and vintage metal tones its great. I could see someone who plays sloppy not liking it. Its honest and really upfront. Leads are a little tough and you need to muscle some of the notes out (In My opinion) But a boost pedal handles that for me. My other guitarist was truly blown away when he walked in the room and heard it. It cuts through a dense heavy mix with drums and is just amazing. I have tons of amps and for the first time in years I'm happy just using that puppy with no other setup. No need for blending, Or anything crazy. A matter of fact I'm picking up a spare and maybe running different tubes to be a true slut.
Get it and really mess with the different settings. The two knobs that adjust low-end gain and top end gain are the best. Plus the sweep i use to tune a cab. We tried 3 4 different cabs loaded with various speakers and we could get "the" sound by messing with it.
I do prefer it with passive pickups personally.

Good luck Do it you won't be sorry if brutalz is your thing..

I AB'ed the Satan with my Thrasher once and they were very very similar. I slightly preferred the Thrasher but if I found the Satan for a great price I'd probably take it. I pretty much agree with what animusofabbas said. Fantastic amp and I actually much prefer it to the Fortin Natas.

So do you like your Thrasher? It seems to be quite the hated amp on this forum. I like mine alot FWIW.

To me it sounds like every other modern, high gain metal amp with that very refined, modern voicing. Kinda in that Recto/5150 realm. If that's your kinda tone then this amp seems like it would make you happy. Seems Randall has really been focusing on that crowd with their more recent amplifiers.

Have you actually tried one? My Thrasher sounds nothing like the amps you listed and I've owned the Recto/5150 variants.

I have always wanted to play one. I did play a Natas and it was nothing short of badass. I wish I owned one.

Of course I like it. I think a lot of people don't wanna give it a chance since it's made in China and just assume it's overpriced and not worth it. I thought that before actually trying it. It's one of my favorites for modern tones and definitely nothing like recto or 5150. I also disagree about it sounding like every other modern high gain amp. To me it has a distinctive dryi-ish voicing that is nothing like a recto/5150. The closest thing I'd compare it to would be a Pittbull UL but the Thrasher is more aggressive, growly, and just better to my ears. I sold my Pittbull UL not too long ago. Definitely try it before coming to any conclusions. I could see some not liking it cuz of its dry stiff voicing.

Glad to hear I'm not crazy lol. I actually traded my ENGL FB 100 for the Thrasher (collective internet gasp   ) I have been pleased with the Thrasher especially live and in band mixes. It's a different amp then obviously the 5150/Recto. I would somewhat agree about the VHT comparison but it's not nearly as twangy and dry IME at least. But it is clear and tight....sits well in a mix....great mids and you can dial it so many ways to sound good. It's a little less forgiving then alot of modern amps but not VHT unforgiving lol. At least my fingers aren't sore as they were playing VHT's lol...

Yeah it doesn't sound exactly like the UL, it's just the closest thing I could think of. I think with the right settings it can be every bit as dry as the UL if you wanted and sometimes I like that. I think what you were calling twangy I think of as honkiness in the UL which I also didn't like, and luckily the thrasher doesn't have that

So it does sound like the thrasher ? I hated everything about the thrasher so if that's the case maybe I should skip buying one with out hearing/playing it first .
