Ive got a 92 plexi that i want to get modded and ive been talking with Brian about his mods the shaved beaver specifically. I like friedmans stuff as well so what to do.
I play heavier stuff and love the marshall sound but need something thats tight and very articulate with great mids. Im not really looking for a modern metal tone...
Anyone have any suggestions, especially one thats compared the 2

You're not going to go wrong with either. I have a BFG Modded 1959 and it's everything I thought it would be. Excellent tones and Brian is very quick to answer questions.

Friedman's work is incredible too. Like I say, this is a no lose situation IMO.

Thats kinda what i was thinking. It would be easier if there were more BFG clips especially of the shaved beaver mod. I have only heard 2 very short ones

Exactly, you seriously wouldn't be going wrong with either choice. Both are great. Resale value (at least here on RT) would probably be better with the Friedman.

I've owned both though and yeah-you wouldn't regret either.

What BFG mod did you have, and do you care to mention any differences between the two?

I just bought the exact amp your describing. Perfect Marshall tone, but heavy as hell while retaining all the clarity and massive bottom end. Contact "dawnofdreamx97" Nick. Hopefully he doesn't mind me throwing this out there....but you won't be sorry. That's all I can say. Steve

It's not BFG. Send me a PM brother. Just throwing an idea your way... That's all.

LOL..............A new marshall has been spoken that many men will want.

He has a point.....................

Resale on rig talk friedman is better but then again the mods cost more and you wait a lot longer etc. The clips I heard of the bfg hg/lg Jose sounded pretty cool, check em out an see if its for you.

I've had a BFG. Brian does great work and is one of the best around to help you get what you want.
Friedman is great as well. I really think this is a tough call. You won't be sorry either way

Brian at BFG is awesome great guy, great customer service and great mods.
