who would you get a custom from?

I own an ESP custom special standard. 1.5 year build time. Paid in full on August of 2009 did not get the guitar until April of 2011. ESP's are great but you had better have the patience of a saint and an ESP dealer you can trust.

stinnett would be my custom maker of choice but he no longer makes guitars - depression is what i heard.

I would not mind an Ibanez J-Custom or a Tom Anderson build.

For me, it would be a Suhr. They are reasonably priced, extremely high quality instruments even before you get into the custom game. The limitation, here, is that you won't be able to order anything from the creativity side. However, the options they do offer should satisfy most who aren't looking for radical shapes and ideas. Also, they will use stainless steel frets!

I'd be looking at RS Guitarworks for a San Dimas 2 style guitar with maple neck and black block inlays, Floyd Rose and in a bright green or a Workhorse like this

That being said Luxxtone are making some very nice looking guitars at the moment

WOW I love that, who made it ???

Check out Black Water Guitars. He build awesome stuff and will do full on customs, I think.

He seems to do nice work and his prices seem very good, this 8 string fan is posted for $1750! Some parts guitar makers better adjust their shit y0.................................

Yup. Dude's prices are way reasonable and his work is top notch. I am going out to his shop soon to check out some stuff. I really want him to make me a custom 7 string Les Paul 25.5" scale.

Whoa that blackwater is insane. What is the benefit of the fanned frets? Hufschmidts are cool too. The kxk's are almost there. And WUT. not waiting 1.5 yrs for a custom from ESP. I'd rather go with a small builder anyway. Also really interested in trying out building one myself.

Luxxtone!!!!! Jerry's guitars play and sound awesome!!! And they also look cool!!!

Ive got a Stinnnet on order thats scheduled for delivery for the end of the summer. Will is still building guitars and his backlog is huge at the moment. I did not ask him if he was still taking new jobs when I recently emailed him as the substance was about my order.

The op wants something that I am not sure Luxxtone will make. I have not seen much from them other than Strat, Tele, or Jag/Jazz-ish shapes and all are bolt-on. I am sure they are very nice but probably not what the op is going for.

Then again, maybe Luxxtone will build a set neck, single cut, 7 string. Who the fuck knows?
