So I was in wholefoods browsing what the hell to eat for dinner (big mistake by the way...) and I hear some 80's metal vocals, I have no idea who it was but it 100% actual legit metal on the Wholefoods Muzak, this makes me a happy person, because if I hear one more fucking hipster song I'm going to pull a Van Gogh - hipster music is what made him cut off his ear, true story.

On a side note, I bought a pound of their misc., stuff, side of potatoes, some chiptole chicken salad, rice, and something else, it all sucked, I spent 8 dollars on 4 different things and everything I took a bite of got progressively worse. I should have just eaten the rest of my publix fried chicken in the fridge, but no I had to try and be healthy... well I learned my lesson on that one!

 Rock on with your bad Metal Muzak whole foods, but no longer will I be eating anything prepared at your "salad bar."

That's funny. Last week i was in a Subway and the Indians were blasting power Windows by Rush.

And one time a few years ago i heard someone playing the first Vinnie Moorse album in a Circuit City on one of the stereo systems.

Haha it's just nice not to hear the same thing over and over again... Kind of off topic but does anyone still listen to terrestrial radio anymore I couldn't tell you the last time I did... it's been at least a year if not more?

About a month ago I was in subway and they had breaking the chains by Dokken playing and it made my day lol...

There's a few decent radio stations in the NJ/NYC area. Well, only a couple. One plays classic rock out of NYC. There's 2 rock stations in NJ that play everything but they're farily predictable and commercials suck. Then there's the legendary Pirate Radio out of Seton Hall 89.5. They've been playing metal for as long as i can remember and they still do.

It seems like the second that Howard Stern left radio that all the rock stations he was on just collapsed.

What I don't get is why clear channel think they can consistently feed the public the same shit for the past 10 years and expect us to keep listening.... isn't anyone else sick of the same nirvana and mctallica songs by now? I can't take it anymore...

Based on your youtube stuff, I can TOTALLY see that

I had a part time job at Radio Shack last year, and I'd switch between the classic rock (Bonesaw or something) station and the metal one on Sirius radio. Things got a little weird when the Metallica "So What" cover came on, but otherwise it was awesome not having to listen to the a-a-a-a-a-a-alcohol by Kanye or any other autotuned-to-hell garbage.

Shopping in my local Wal-Mart a while back I hear Alice Cooper's Poison playing over their instore music system.

I look at my wife and was like "you hear that too?"

They had his syndicated radio show on one of the local stations at the time and I thought about calling in and telling him he was now safe for Wal-Mart!!!
