Why Celestion V Type Cheaper Than Others?

From what I have heard, the V-Type sounds great. As far as I can tell, it's like a revised Vintage 30. The question is why it's so much cheaper than the mainstream Celestions. Is there something about its construction that's cheaper, or is it make in a different factory or something? Perhaps it's being priced cheaper because it's relatively still new? I've seen them in cheaper amp combos, but haven't noticed them in boutique stuff yet. I'd like to know the real story with this speaker because it sounds like a great value.

I'm not certain of its story; however, I put one of these in my Splawn 1x12 and it sounds great with my Voodoo V-Plex 50. I put a V30 in the other and they're a nice balance. The V-Type seems a little more open with a little less volume. The V30 has some slight "fartiness" to it, though, in comparison. May be simply 'cause they're both brand new speakers.

Don't think you'd go wrong getting a V-Type.
