Why do they call Peter... Papa?

I´m happy to be part of the family.
And there is uncle Brad and uncle Steve :D
 
Papa's the PAPA man...how dare you ask this? he's the father.... we're all his children. learn that and call him Papa :D
 
The master. He is someone is is truly practicing technical enlightenment when so many of these corporate manufacturers continue to stamp out lifeless, tone-deaf amps while they pay hacks to say they use bone-stock products from those same manufacturers. Its all about $$$ to those guys. I gladly bought from Papa knowing that I would not be looking to drop another $2000 two weeks later, etc..

And his name begins with a P?
 
Papa Peter, Daddy Diezel, Peter the profit, the Mack Daddy of mayhem. Whatever you wanna call him.

It's because he fathered the amps we so love. He's the head hancho of the Diezel family... His name is on the amps!!

How is it hard to understand?! :D
 
If you can take a visit to Peter you will see that he always takes care for every Amp he created, like his own children. And he keeps on raising them up to be a complete adult. For sure he also cares about every customer. If I ever had a problem or sorrows I can ask him, that's father-like...!

My go to amp sim (in the Axe-fx) is the Das-Metall... so would that make him my Digital Daddy? ;)

I'm doing a side-by-side today with the REAL Poppa made VH4S and the Das Metal sim on the Ultra... Will post results later.

But as for the term "Poppa"?? He takes care of all his customers (and even those just browsing) like we're his children. I think it's the most fitting moniker to give him - he's always there to help, support, answer our questions, give us advice, and is the ONLY gentleman I know who designs one of the world's leading amps, owns the company of that amp, and still takes time to hang with us cats here on the forum, in emails, on the phone, and even in person!!

That's passionate - and that's what makes me a HOOOOOOGE mega fan of Diezel!!

And the fact he IS the Mack Daddy of Sonic Mayhem... :rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

He kinda looks like a "Poppa" too... I couldn't imagine calling some 30 year old, long haired, tattooed rocker making amps "Poppa". Just seems to fit with Peter nicely. And his style of English helps too...
