You just dont really see or hear much about them. Phenomenal amps IMO, especially the SD series. They had the ability to be VERY Marshallish and very Boogiesh as well, Tone for days and built really well. I think that the people that do own them love them because they dont really show up on ebay or anywhere else all that often.I miss my SD80, it was an amazing amp that I sold to fund another purchase.

No doubt. I've heard a lot of smoking Budda clips, but very little talk about them on the forums.

I was a Budda dealer for a while and they are definitely good amps. They attempted to go to Musicians Friend at one point which I thought was a terrible mistake on their part. I know it's hard to turn down the mighty MF and their checkbook but the company was too small to deliver that much product. I discontinued the line because we couldn't get product due to the large MF order despite being a dealer for many years prior. I ended up selling the SD80's that I had in stock for cost on HCAF. One of you might have gotten it...

I dont' dare try one of those amps unless I have the cash going in. I know I would love it and wouldnt' be able to walk out without it.

Joe Bonnamassa likes 'em.

I've considered Buddas before. The problem for is they aren't cheap and they're hard to come by so its tought to try one. Also, the first thing anyone ever says is "this thing is loud", not "man what great marshall tone". I've heard a lot of great clips but I need to try one first.

I only saw them used live 2x and that was with Joe Bonamassa and his tone ranked as the best that I have seen anywhere, no joke, it was that good...

They Customer service is second to none and the guys are so damn helpful and eager for feedback...

They sound like my ideal amp--Vox type clean channel and modded Marshall gain channel. But I often read about problems balancing the two channel's volumes. Is there any truth to that?

And as somebody just mentioned, I also often read about how loud they are. Is the Master(s) not effective in that they have to be run loud to get a good tone going. I used a Boogie Mark III for a long time and that thing could get LOUD but the Master Volume also let me run it at a whisper level with a workable tone if I wanted.

The Volume disparity is easily Remedied Drew.... The amp sounds great low but really needs to be goosed a bit to get to the Heavanly tonal goodness, its still manageable though...

I've heard some great clips, I believe Thump used to have one :)

If they had this logo on the amp they'd get much more rec.

Thats very good to know about the customer service, always helps bigtime when a company really go outta their way to support their products and customers!

I can believe that about Joe Bonamassa.. I have seen him 3x live now and everytime he has been rediculously good to watch... his tone is always smokin hot!!! He never fails to pick the right sound for the job!

John4021 on here brought his Budda SD 80 II up to my place and that amp is awesome! Very loud very nasty if you want it to be, killer clean sounds (plugged in my beloved OCD V1 to the clean and wow great tone!) also the mid shift on the series II heads gives it the Mesa type vibe and sounds great. Versatilty great sound on all aspects no flaws or I like this channel but I don't like that one bullshit. The loop works great as well!

Good thread Kage!

You're right, The Buddha is probably the best Boutique amp I've ever played hands down. Great tones!

I've only seen one, ever, and it was expensive. That might have a little to do with it.

I love them but you gotta be able to play loudly because those suckers get real loud real quick.

Can someone characterise the differences in sound?
