No surprise there. Only part of Monsters money comes from the sale of product, a lot comes from law suits. Scum.

They say it encourages child labor with harsh working conditions and piracy.

Never been a Monster fan, this just further makes me not want to buy their products.

I read the article bu im stupid fill me in please.. whats this all about. Monster cable is sweat shop stuff. Exploiting chinese kids??

I know they are against places like this, as well as eBay, and Craigslist. Basically anything that hurts their sales. They would much rather have someone buy new instead of someone purchasing one of their products from some other individual. Which I understand but SOPA isn't the right way to make this happen. Really lame.

SOPA = No Bueno. I'm boycotting all business who support it.

OOOHH I get it. anything that openly discusses opinions and quality and prices and such, basically freedom of speech, they oppose.

read this ?? it contradicts something said here.
I like their opinion about work ethics and trying to eliminate slave labor or having any products involved with slave labor from some subcontractor.
Indeed, there are portions of SOPA that make sense and would yield benefits. But there would be a lot more negative than positive to come out of it.

Also, there have been a lot of companies as well as politicians who supported the bill, realized the opposition to it, and changed their stance. GoDaddy for example is now saying they are not supporting the bill, but apparently they still are-just not vocally. Not sure if monster did this or not...?

Monster is well known for trying to crush businesses that have nothing to do with them on the pretense of protecting their brand. If they were so interested in work ethic they'd appreciate all forms of it.

Here are a couple examples of their "business practices" and the responses.

I would love to be that moving co..!! I would go in pro per and kick their ass.. OK I see what you mean...dudes insane totally insane.

I like the slave labor angle these companies talk about...Walmart as well as Comcast, who are in favor of it, have been busted on slave labor in china, as well as not paying overtime, etc. Comcast under SOPA/PIPA could block sites from their competition so you couldn't get promotions from competitors. Its a big ass scam by big corps.

I am gonna say just this about Monster Cables: I don't own any. I have tried their lower series(500 and 1000 series) speaker/instrument cables....and they suck tone like a mofo! I was shocked at how much better my pro-line cables sound.
