I don't have any spares for my Herbie and one pair blew recently thus I wish to be prepared for when the others go. I want to experiment and the 88s and 6550s seem to be some of the most well regarded tubes thus I wish to try them

I don't have experience with 6550's but it threw some KT88's in my herbert (see my recent post for clips) and I think it sounds great.

I'm not big on EMGs so I wouldn't place too much value on that clip for myself but my new guitar's pickups = made to sound like Warpigs so I'd have liked that clip a bit more if you played with a bit more variety as the sound was good but... well, it was a little repeatative I think it's fair to say Seemed to have a really nice scratchy tone to it which I love.

As I said in the post, these are just clips for the drummer to practice. These songs are far from done and will be more versatile when finished. But I wanted to share these clips anyway to give an impression.

Ahhhh right, I jus clicked the clips/didn't read the post but still I think you see my point. Indeed worth sharing though I love the Warpig sound.

I didn't recorded the LTD clip, the other guitarist from my band did and it's his guitar. I really like the Warpigs as well, they sound more organic to me. I've never been a fan of EMG though I got a pair of them in a Les Paul I have (which will be replaced by Bare Knuckles).
