Wow...just, Wow.....

'Witness' my pick so far...the guitar playing.....freakin hell.....

Reb Beach on fire right through the record. The guitars sound huge, just stunning.

Does anyone know if its mostly Suhr Reb Beach and PT100?

Here's what John Suhr wrote over @ HRI ....

From John Suhr:

That was actually Reb's introduction the the PT100
I was dragging my feet rebuilding one of his 2 main Marshalls for the Album
They called me in a panic... like we are tracking guitars this week!

I said well let me lend you my sons PT100, Reb called back ecstatic !
"I'm sending in my OD's to be turned into this !"
I cant wait to hear some of the clips thru real speakers.

Here's a couple other quotes from the same thread:

From John Suhr:

EMGs all the way
V30's

From John Suhr:

Reb just confirmed in an email that it is my sons PT100

Somewhere around here, I've seen a picture of Reb's PT - "converted" heads ?!? Both Gains are on "10", but I wouldn't expect anything less from Reb

Got the album last night...KILLER!!..

Best winger album yet imho..

Both gains on Rebs amps are on 10 and he also hits it with a boost. Most guys can't get passed the fact that these guys boost a high gain amp but lots of guys do it and it works!!!

This is for the 80's guys
So far I like the New Winger album, The new W.E.T album with Jeff scott Soto on vocals,The New House of Lords album and the new Poodles album :hys:

If you still dig the 80's stuff I think that you will like these ;)

Only avail in EURO right now. I pre-ordered on Amazon.

I'm really psyched. I was afraid that they wouldn't make another record for years. I thought IV was a great record. Definitly among the best of the "80/90's metal" new records (Also Whitesnakes new one which Reb also has some solos on).

You can buy it for $15.99 at http://www.nehrecords.com

Good to be Bad (IMO) isn't in the same league as this, in fact it begs the question why Coverdale didn't give Reb Beach more input in Whitesnake......

 NICE! I'm excited to hear!

IMO, Reb and Kip are a perfect match. There's a harmonic richness in Kip's writing that Reb really compliments, because he accents the harmonic content (musically speaking... not pinch harmonics   ), and is able to keep it dumbed down so it sounds like rock and not jazz fusion.

In WS, Reb looses a little 'wow' for me because the progressions and rhythms are usually more bluesy and simple.

I got the dvd of the making of IV pretty cool seeing the two work in Kip's recording studio; a room in the house. I bought the dvd at a show they did down here at nthe Galaxy. They actually recorded that show for the live dvd. Reb's tone kicked ass. Winger sounded very heavy and not all poppy. Great band. The other guitarist is a very tasteful player aswell. Check out the dvd.

Reb was a bit bummed about his role on that album. He recorded four solos and only two were used...he thought his best ones were the ones that Doug didn't use (and thought his unused solos were better than Doug's :D ). Doug is Whitesnake's Music Director and essentially has the last say on those issues.

I haven't heard the new Winger in full yet but I wasn't very impressed with what I heard on Myspace on a quick listen. I'll still pick it up and give it a real chance though.

I will be getting it....picked up WORK OF ART's new one yesterday....that is all 80's and so damn catchy I can't stop listening!!!!

I got this last night and i think its a killer album!!

Reb's playing is top notch, the production sounds great and Kip sounds really good too. Kip and Reb are perfect together when it comes to writing songs and coming up with cool ideas!

Just as long as Stuart from Beavis and Butt Head dont come out wearing the WINGER shirt.......
they may have a chance this time!

Kidding aside........
Winger is one of my Favorite bands and I look forward to getting this disk!!

Yeah, his solos on the WS record, really aren't all that good :scared:

I'm sure Reb was bummed... I was bummed too.

BUT! His solos on Winger IV are KILLIN'!!! I want to make the sweet love to his solo in "Right Up Ahead".

probably album of the year for me, it's a real grower, not that I didn't like it straight away, huge tones too. Pull and IV are amazing albums, check them out if you haven't. The Poodles album was quite disappointing after the last 2, and I thought the W.E.T. album was very very average. Check out the new Danger Danger album, mega shredding solo's (terrible lyrics though, I think that's why I don't like Soto, his lyrics shit me)

BTW I'm a huge Whitesnake fan and a huge Aldrich fan, but I thought Good To Be Bad was shit, what happened to Aldrich's tone?
