Dear all,

who has experience with wireless in-ear monitoring systems in combination with his/her(?) Diezel?
Which system do you have/recommend/not recommend? How do you combine it with Diezel at low volumes?

I have a VH4 in combination with a 4x12 RL cab. There is a certain push in my band to go for in-ear monitors ... such
that we can turn also down the volume on stage at volume levels where my VH4 does not sound so nice anymore. In that
case maybe I have to switch to my Bogner 1x12 cab ...

Any feedback or advise is welcome.

Thanks

Jan

Before everyone in the band takes the plunge into thousand dollar in ear systems, I'd start with the obvious.

The singer is the person who generally has issues with on stage volumes which result in performance deficiencies. I'd recommend doing what my band did and have the singer get the in ear system first and have them hear only themselves. I setup her rig so she only needed to buy the Sennheiser, her own microphone and cables for the mic to the Sennheiser and Sennheiser to the venues mic cable (we disconnect it off the main mic).
DONE and it fits in a 2 space rack (make sure rack is somewhat long for cable space) that I put a Furman in to make that easy to setup at shows too.

Result = band plays as loud as we want, she hears herself WAY better while still hearing us (use the stock earphones as the bleed will help with hearing the band still). We also saved thousands and no longer have to worry about the sound guy screwing up her monitors. Your singer will not only sing better, but probably enjoy the shows more and perform better.

And finally the singer actually buys something!!
