with high gain, empress tape delay or tc triple better?

Right now I am using the empress tape delay and its great. I find that it colors the amp tone just slightly. I have not tried the TC triple delay, but might have the opportunity to get one. Has anyone tried both of these pedals with higher gain? did the TC color the tone or change the feel at all?
