Wizard MTL 2016 vs 2012-13 (Tone Differences)

So I heard the 2016 vs 2012-13 MTL's are supposed to be different in terms of things like ghosting, noise levels, volume taper, etc, but how do the 2 actually compare in sound/tone? Are they more or less the same?

i have a mtl100 2013-14

and a brand spanking new 2017 mtl100

honestly, i think they both sound super close.

the volume taper on the master is much better on the new one.

overall gain, and volume on both is the same

i can dial both to sound pretty much identical.

had to retube my older one because i always play em loud and i was doing a full volume test and blew one of the powee tubes that were about two years old with regular loud play.

new fuse, new tubes and rebias, sounds glorius.
