I put a 8 ohm eminence wizard in the 1-12" combo.
This is a 2 channel amp and it positively rocked with this speaker.
The stock eminence is a bright as crap speaker IMHO
It was 16 ohm so im running using the 8 ohm output now.

I considered this amp kinda bright but was wrong as could be.
If there is a better speaker for this amp PLEASE TELL ME i might just buy it !
A badass bottom end at last and the highs scream out on bends but could be alittle better there maybe.

I borrowed the wizard out of a 2-12" cabinet so im going to buy another 8 ohm speaker to try in both cabinets.
The JCA 2212c is jet citys 2 channel version of the single ch. 20 watt amp.

The jet city has 5-12ax7 tubes and 2-el84 RI mullard tubes , ive retubed it with New sensor and NOS tubes and V1 is a gold lion 12ax7

I dont know which speaker to get now.
I would like to improve the jet city amp some more if possible.

I run my JCA22 thru a Splawn 2 x 12 loaded with Splawn small blocks and it sounds great. Maybe try one of those or a green back.

You should call Rick at Wizard and ask him if he will mod your Jet City to improve that tone some more.

Are you refering to wizard amps ?
If so have they done jet city amp mods allready .

Theres plenty of room on the PCB to work on, its easily modded i think.

Eureke i found out the 3rd tube from the input does the EQ of the amp and whoa what a difference.
I thought this was just a OK amp but the tone stack responds like a really good amp when you get it tubed right.

I had the crunch gained abit and cut on a T-Rex Alberta OD pedal and i never could quite get that Zepplin 2 sound til now, harmonic focased leads with those round notes as it became obvious i found a very good amp here.
It has a smooth tone thru out all the range and no harshness or fizz but it now has that bottom crunch we all like.
That stock speaker IMHO is wrong wrong wrong , so i hope everybody not playing jazz changes it,its a bright SOB.

I had the volume on 3.5 in the house whew it was a big sound in here.
Yeah im certain this amp is designed well enough to really rock , i read guy sent his back because of a ringing sound while playing.lol
A good tube fixes his amp , im glad he returned it so someone else may have some amp savy and know microphonic tubes when he hears one.

Its not a amp to go stock with,if you want a amp you dont need to mess with get a solid state amp.
Im sure glad it has a Bias trim pot,a $20 tube probe saved me some e-mails to jet city because the manual is void of this info !
I just used webers Bias calculator for class A/B el-84 and it gives the Bias in milliamps per pair i believe was 38ma so im running 18ma per tube!

A Cheap priced but great sounding amp is in the box , but it takes some tube rolling to find it !

I just added the depth mod to mine.It really adds some much needed body to it.
