They are hard to find! Have you tried a Chase Tone Secret Preamp? I've been using it in front of my Scorpion, and it is certainly a difference maker. It also runs at 22v like the Badgerplex.
 
You need to sell me your Scorpion!!! I have been looking for one now for months :doh:
