I played one at daddy's in syracuse last night(they had two). what a killer guitar. spec says wizard II neck but it didnt feel like the typical ibanez neck that i do not like at all. very comfy and natural. neck thru. mahogany, thouroghly impressed. i have come after many chances and owning a few different ones to really dislike ibanez. not that i think they are junk, just never felt good on me and necks never felt good. hate the very thin wide/flat necks. but this thing is on my must have list. I remember them on the website when the Xiphos came out and now they are gone? wtf did they make these for like two years?

i dont remember anything about limited? that sucks. My truck is on e-bay i hope it sells i may just go but both. they have been sitting there for at least a year. 2007 apparently was the last year.

I remember looking at a bands myspace and they had a Ibanez V, I can't for the life of me find them though

thought they were cool on ibanez's site when they came out. never ever seen them except last night. they are awsome. IMHO

How about those flame maple topped/cherry sunburst Vs they were doing in the early 80s! Those, and their 'Destroyer' companion guitars have always looked great to me.

wizard II necks are a little narrower board than a wizard.

I hate the 6 to a side head stocks, I would take one of these Ibanez's any day of the week

Dusty from BTBAM has one. He said its the best V he has ever owned. He said they pulled them from the shelves for some reason which I cant remember. I will have to ask him and find out.

the new ones?? thats gay. would be interesting to know why.

yeah i would love an old lawsuit Ibanez V or LP but yeah, good luck finding them. especially the LP's . I actually like the inline headstock on the new one and the little accents on the V points. for metal i think it looks awsome. the black one looks alot cooler though with the white binding.

good eye, probably a groupie

I'm with MarshallLaw on liking the 3-on-a-side headstocks better (especially on Vs)....but this is what I was thinking of when I saw this thread. These and their matching Destroyers (DT500, I think?...) always caught my eye

saw one of those way back in the day in a store. exact same thing. like $350 used. i would rock one of those too. i love the three on a side like my gibson also. but the lines on the VTB700 just work for me. i like a reverse jackson headstock on a V also. hey, i wonder since there are some other companies using the ken lawrence headstock like warmoth makes limited runs, and theres another guy making custom guitars that will do a KL headstock(they look just like KL axes for half or less) . I wonder what a KL headstock would look like on a V
