Anyone still using these? Looking for a small living room amp to noodle around on. I often practice with Positive Grid BIAS and some type of Marshall sim, but I don't really want to have a FRFR/monitor and interface laying around in this room.

I know the Katana is popular, but the Yamaha THR has a bass amp sim too that I would like to use.

I have one and use it all the time.
Eh, I don't really dig the tones or effects. It's usable.

I run it crunchy and hit it with a Keeley Red Dirt. I hoped to just use a cable but it doesn't sound great and the Keeley makes it sound good.

I'd look at the Katana.

Honestly I'd rather just have a Blues Jr and the Red Dirt. That rig sounds much better.
I even dig the Pro Jr.

Blah that's disappointing. I'm hoping for something that I can use a bass with too. It's be low volume but I worry a bass blowing the Katana speaker.

Maybe the Line 6 Amplifi would work. No dedicated bass amp, but plenty of the guitar amps would work.

I just got one for a living room amp. The bass amp model is actually decent, but you have to keep the volume low.

I have the 10x and god damn, i use it daily, 3-4 times. It sounds huge and has great reverb, chorus and delay. I dont use the other effects so i cant comment on those.

It is for low to moderate volumes, as it was intended, higher levels and it flubs out.

Gets an awesome VH tone with a sort of surround reverb.

I even used it direct in a mixer once through a PA and everybody was like, what the hell, that thing sounds bad ass!!!!!!

All in all, a very awesome living room amp.

Cool man, thanks! Yeah, this is going to be used at very low volumes. If I'm going to turn up, I would just go to a different part of the house and use a real amp or BIAS/FRFR. This would be just to noodle around with quietly.

Seems like I just need to go try one.

For what its worth, i had the normal one, the thr10, i am a metal guy at heart, always will be, and i did not like it as kuch as the 10x. The little army green one is more high gain oriented. It gets great crunch tones too. The cleans are great too but quieter. I think i am using the bass amp as my clean channel. Its louder and balsier.

Only thing i wish it had was a footswitch to select the presets. That would be cool.

Had the 10x. It was great. Would get another in a heartbeat.
Just replaced it with the Katana head that I can play as a practice amp indoor.
