I have to get one of these amps just for playing around the house. From the demo's I've heard, it really nails the EVH brown sound at a low volume!
Has anyone played one? Thoughts?
From the looks of things, the amp comes out in the USA at the start of March. For 300 bones, it seems like a no brainer-

I played the original thr10 the other day...i was actually impressed...i agree the new thr10x might really be awesome to have !

Damn that sounds great in the 1st vid!!! Time to save up for March.. or just sell some shit

I love that guy man, Satchel, he`s funny and he can actually rip it up on guitar.

That little amp sounds killer.

I have the original Yamaha THR10 and it's one of my favorite amps I've ever owned, including my big tube rigs!!

It is, IMO, the best practice amp there is.

I'd love to check out the X version, too!!

damn, it does sound awesome....maybe I'll buy one to compare to my incoming Kemper lol I'd love to save $1,500!

I played the 10x it actually does sound like that
the 5153 red model is great

Two things are holding me back from buying he. First, no speaker out. Second for 300 bones, I would rather have a bogner red at this point. They do sound good in the clips though.

Well, I just ordered one. It should be here in a week or so. I'll post my thoughts when It arrives. I did get to play the regular THR10 (normal gain) amp at a Sam ash and it was very impressive.

I have one at the house. sounds cool for no money, battery powered and you can plug your iphone into it as well as a speaker.

It's definitely the best practice budget amp I've tried thus far. My roommate has one, just purchased it last week. Sucker sounds great! and uber portable.

Alright, dumb question of the day... How does it sound recorded direct to DAW, through it's USB output?

I'll post something up within the next week or two doing exactly that.

I have the first version. Great practice amp. Plug in iPhone jam track and practice with the guitar in the mix. Great cleans as well. Can get fairly loud to feel it a bit. Not bad.

Super convenient.

If you notice in the first video, the speakers aren't mic'd and there's a laptop behind the amp recording all the tone.
