Didnt look like he was using a pedal to me. Thumps clips were pretty gainy too and I dont think he was using a pedal.

Chris Holmes Jr was using the Low Level input in that clip.

i'd say either he had to be using a pedal out of view or else those pickups are 20k output!!

It's one of those deals where it sounds like theres a lot of gain, but I bet it doesn't feel like there is. Just like recording - Don't you find that you turn the gain down in order to achieve the sound / tone you 're looking for?
